My wife, Mistia, and I welcomed our first child, our baby girl, Maya, into this world on May 12, 2009!!! She arrived at 9:16 pm weighing in at 6lbs, 4oz and 18.5" long. She's just amazing.... I finished a 4-month contract on a ship on May 11 and arrived home at noon that day, my wife was admitted to the hospital on the 12th at 5pm, Maya appeared at 9:16pm - now THAT'S MAGIC!!

We've just sailed away from Puerto Montt, Chile and are heading N to Valparaiso, Chile...to be there on Sunday the 29th. Rocky as all get out right now...has been for the past 6 nights. Thank God my show was before then! ;-) Have been down here since Jan 4; S. America is nice, however, it will be much nicer to return to my native tongue come May 11!

As the Cruise Entertainment Industry continues to change, I've reluctantly come to the conclusion that before long, acts that DON'T have professional backing tracks are destined to be left on the dustheap of booking history.
Cruise Lines are cutting back on show bands (some are cutting them out completely) and acts that continue to rely on them will find engagements fewer & farther between.
My biggest problem with tracks has always been that they almost always sound like tracks - not live…
