Few sounds are as distinctively American as Dixieland Jazz. From the smoke filled clubs of New Orleans' French Quarter and up the Mississippi River on the great stern wheelers, banjo players have spread a style of toe tapping good time music recognized the world over.
Today, there are but a handful of musicians to carry on that legacy. One of them, Jim Coston has been sharing his hard driving banjo solos and homespun sense of humor with audiences around the world for over thirty years.
More than just a musician - Jim Coston is an entertainer. By combining traditional Dixieland Jazz with a selection of Broadway show tunes, popular standards, classical favorites, novelty tunes and just a touch of bluegrass, Jim Coston brings the banjo into the new millennium with and eclectic evening of music and comedy sure to please audiences everywhere.
Jim Coston has been a featured headline Cabaret Act on over 80 different cruise ships worldwide. Additionally, he has been featured at numerous Theaters, Fairs, Conventions, Corporate Events and Nightclubs across the USA as well as local and national Radio & Television appearances.
After 21 years of living in the Historic French Quarter of
New Orleans, Hurricane Katrina forced Jim to re-locate. When not on tour, Jim now lives in beautiful
Jomtien Beach, Thailand (about 140 km southeast of Bangkok).
Upcoming Schedule
"Pacific Princess" Apr 6- Apr 15, 2010 Hong Kong to Singapore (World Cruise)

I've got a lot to learn about this site. But I'm looking forward to it.
Yes it's me!!! Roxanne Faye, how are you doing sweetie?? Thanks for the invite. I came across a review that was written about Dasiys Basment the other day from 1980..., YIKES, the funny thing was that the guy LOVED the show & pointed out great things about you & Jimmy Carter being wonderful musicans, however he listed your last name as Consetine, idiot! Hard to believe that it's been 28yrs since we were doing that gig. I do see Phran Gauche quite often, she still has that crazy laugh. On a sad note remember Lynnye {stage manger, & my dear friend} Well she has stage 4 cancer but still has her sense of humor thank God. On a lighter note my husband Michael & I have become involved with a new biz venture. We do most of the larger Pirate Festivals & were approched by a guy who needed someone to do the lables & new product line for his RUM, so began a new possible great $$$ makeing prospect for our old age...,LOL! Check out our web-site Black Beard's Booty Rum, @ www.bbbooty.com. I still am working with the Brass band doing all the Mardi Gras work thay can find, I've also gone back to teaching dance, something I never thought I'd get a chance to do the old gray mare ain't what she used to be but I can still hoof with the best of them. Take care, Lov Roxanne
Talk soon,

When you get on land for a while I'd love to talk to you about putting a feature act together. Thanks to five years of "Dueling Pianos", I've got over a thousand songs and bits in my head. There has got to be a way to turn some of that into an act. I could really use your help. My voice is still in great shape and my piano chops are better then they've every been. I just need some direction. Thanks!
